Nota d'usoQuando si parla di alimenti che possono avere diversi “gusti” come gelati, frappè e snack, si utilizza la parola flavour, non taste: What flavour would you like?, Che gusto vuoi? Il sostantivo taste, in contesto alimentare, si avvicina di più al significato della parola “sapore”: Ice cream usuallly has a sweet taste, il gelato di solito ha un sapore dolce. A volte, quando non si parla di un gusto in particolare, le due parole sono intercambiabili: the smooth taste (o flavour) of a good coffee, il sapore vellutato di un buon caffè.
